A pharmacist who got tired of watching
good people get bad advice
I am Roshan Gupta — a qualified pharmacist and certified nutritionist working with clients worldwide from Cuttack, India.
Pharmacy taught me what the diet charts were missing
In pharmacy I learned what medicines actually do once they are inside someone. That long-term metformin quietly drains vitamin B12, and the fatigue that follows gets blamed on the diabetes instead. That an iron tablet swallowed with morning tea barely absorbs. That cutting carbohydrate while someone is on a sulfonylurea can drop their blood sugar dangerously low.
Then I watched those same people get handed a printed diet chart by somebody who had never looked at a single one of their blood reports. Told to eat boiled food. Told to give up rice. And when it collapsed three weeks later, told they lacked discipline.
That is not a discipline problem. It is a design problem — and it is fixable.
Four things every programme is built on
Read the reports first
Thyroid, B12, vitamin D, iron, HbA1c, lipids. I read what is already there before writing a single meal — most people arrive with reports nobody has explained to them.
Work around the medicines
Your plan accounts for what you already take, including the interactions nobody flagged. This is the part a nutrition certificate alone does not cover.
Build something you will keep
Flexible dieting, your own kitchen, your own budget, your family’s food. A plan you abandon in three weeks is worth nothing, however correct it looks on paper.
Stay in your doctor's lane, not theirs
I never change medication and never pretend to. Where something needs a doctor, I say so — and I would rather lose the sale than blur that line.
We put ‘Care’ back into ‘Healthcare’
If an incorrect lifestyle helped cause a problem, a corrected one can improve it. Not cure everything, and not equally for everyone — but the effect is real, and it shows up in bloodwork rather than just on a scale.
Every programme rests on four pillars: balanced nutrition you can actually sustain, quality sleep, movement that fits the week you really have, and managing stress — because cortisol will undo a good diet faster than most people realise.
Qualifications & certifications
Registered pharmacist, with certifications in clinical nutrition, sports nutrition and diabetes care. These are what let me read your reports and check your plan against the medicines you already take — rather than handing you a generic chart.
